The Metro Denver REALTOR® Foundation, is a 501(c)3 charitable organization established in 1989. MDRF has been making an impact on Denver metropolitan communities through its member boards and associations including the Aurora Association of REALTORS®, Denver Board of REALTORS®, the South Metro Denver REALTOR® Association, with the mission of improving our communities through housing, education and neighborhood improvements. Money raised by the Foundation is placed into an endowment fund and investment earnings are used to support charitable projects making a difference in the Denver metro area.

Grants are awarded based on three areas:
Donations can recognize individual accomplishments or serve as memorial tributes to industry leaders, friends and associates. The "Tree of Life" program provides a unique opportunity for each of you and your industry friends to show your support, admiration for and fond memories of the hard work, leadership and friendship of so many wonderful people in our industry and in our daily lives.
Wow! 2009 was a great year for the Metro Denver REALTOR® Foundation with lots of exciting changes and improvements. We continue to make a difference as we represent our area Boards and Associations in charitable giving, while at the same time cutting our overhead substantially.
Keeping expenses in mind, we had a fantastic Golf Tournament at a new venue, Saddle Rock Golf Club. We received very positive feedback and raised a great deal of money to help out The Colorado Center for the Blind, who were, once again very enthusiastic committee members and participants.
The Golf Tournament also helped launch a new MDRF program, Backpacks for Kids.
We once again partnered with STRIDE for our most successful 
Magic of MDRF event to date and are proud to present a sizable donation to them. We are truly grateful for their continued participation and commitment to this wonderful event.
We have worked on expanding our fundraising efforts by implementing a new program to help underprivileged kids in the metro Denver area by providing backpacks filled with school supplies. Our Buck a Deal and Tree of Life programs continue to be a viable avenue for giving back to the community and for growing our endowment.
We partnered with DERA(Douglas Elbert REALTOR® Association) for their Annual Helping Hands event. This was a very successful event that allowed us to join forces and help a very worthy recipient with her home maintenance and repairs.
We were also able to revamp our website thanks to the talents of Kevin Faulkner and his team at
Kevin Faulkner Design. We can now take payments and accept donations, securely online. We can also advertise and promote all of our programs and events!
Finally, it has been my pleasure to be associated with the Metro Denver REALTOR® Foundation and to serve as the 2009 Chair, I look forward to another year as the Chair with many more successes as we work to "Improve our community, one family at a time!"
